Your Privacy

We take your privacy very seriously. Not just when you’re with us,
but also when it comes to the processing of your personal data.
We only use the information we receive from you for the
purpose for which they were provided and in accordance with the
Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG) and the Telecommunicatiewet.

Personal data we process, and why

If you send us a message via the contact form on this website, we ask for the following information:

If you place a reservation with us, we also ask for:

Finally, we can make note of personal preferences during the reservation process, but also during your stay with us. Small things that can be so important for a pleasant stay. Think of a diet or allergy, a desire to eat gluten-free, but also whether you have mobility problems and perhaps need a stool to shower. We do this solely to provide you with a better service. Now and in the future.

We will never ask for (and therefore make no note of) special personal data such as religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, political preference, etc. because we do not consider them relevant for providing our hospitality.

Retention period

We keep your data for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. Including enjoying our hospitality now, but also with a (hopefully) repeated stay. This way you don’t have to share all the information with us again when you make a next reservation; after all, we have kept them (carefully and securely) for you. If you do not wish this, you can of course always indicate that.

The data we need for invoicing and the night register have a legal retention period of 7 years, which we must comply with.

Sharing personal data with third parties

We do not sell your data to third parties and will only provide it to others if this is necessary in the context of our services, or to comply with a legal obligation (for example, the night register, basis for the payment of the tourist tax).

We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Incidentally, we only use reputable and reliable parties with a good name in the sector. For our (online) reservations this is, for example, RoomRaccoon (www.roomraccoon.nl), for our administration this is Exact Online (www.exactonline.nl) and for the sending of nice messages this is MailChimp (www.mailchimp.com). It is therefore covered with these parties that they handle your data as carefully as we do, and that they do not use this data for any purpose other than in the context of their services to us (and ultimately to you).

Brownies. Uhm, sorry… Cookies!

When you first visit this website, a small text file is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone. A “cookie”. We only use cookies that cannot be traced back to a specific user, and therefore do not infringe on your privacy. These are the so-called technical and functional cookies. They are necessary for the proper functioning and improvement of our website and your ease of use. If you do not want cookies, you can set your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. You can also delete all information that has previously been stored via the settings of your browser.

Mailings

We like to keep in touch with guests who have been with us before. We do this, among other things, by sending a message about what keeps us busy with some (ir) regularity. A nice story, new developments, a great offer or just something else that we would like to share with you. We think they’re fun emails that might inspire you. Of course we only do this if you have registered for this. By the way, you can always easily unsubscribe from our messages, if at any time you decide that you don’t like them that much.

Imagery

Because hospitality revolves around people, we sometimes use photos or videos on our website, Facebook or other media on which we present ourselves, in which guests are recognizably portrayed. Preferably real guests, we think that’s so real. People who are recognizable in the image have always given permission for this. We will also ask you, where appropriate, for your explicit permission whether we may use a photo of you or make a video recording. The choice is entirely yours. Please don’t worry beforehand. It really doesn’t happen that often, but sometimes we just need some new footage. You can also revoke this permission at any time.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can submit a request to this effect to us (our contact details are elsewhere on this website). We will then let you know what we know about you, so that you can adjust the data if necessary, or have it removed from our database. The latter does not apply to data for which there is a legal retention period of 7 years; we can only remove these afterwards.

How we protect personal data

Appropriate (technical and organizational) measures have been taken to protect personal data against loss or other forms of unlawful processing. These measures, including encryption via an SSL certificate, ensure a level of security that matches the data we process. If you feel that your data is not properly secured, or there are indications of misuse, please contact us.

Disclaimer

We are quite into the details. This way we also have the largest on all pages of this website
possible care. Nevertheless, it is possible that information is out of date or other
reasons incorrect. Tell us and we’ll adjust it. And if you have (had) trouble with it,
please do not hesitate to contact us. Then we look for a solution together.
